High Protein French Toast Recipe

Are you looking for a nutritious breakfast that is high in protein, quick to make, and uses minimal ingredients? This high protein baked French toast has all those needs covered!

 

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yields: 1 serving (2 slices)

Ingredients:

2 slices of multigrain/whole grain bread (whichever has higher protein)

50g yogurt

2 egg whites

1 scoop protein powder (optional)

vanilla or any flavouring (optional)

top with choice of fruit (strawberries, blueberries)

 

Directions:

1.        Combine yogurt, egg whites, protein powder, and flavourings into a small bowl

2. Flatten the middle of your slice of bread to make a something similar to a well

3. Pour the egg white mixture into the well of the bread and top with fresh or frozen fruit

4. Bake at 180C or 360F for 15-17 mins

Optional: top with more fresh fruit, cinnamon, maple syrup or honey for sweetness!
